Planning your trip

Parks Victoria runs many of the campsites here, including those in Greater Bendigo National Park, Kooyoora State Park, Terrick Terrick National Park and Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park. Campsites in state forests such as Lockwood South are run by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, and their rules come from the state forest camping pages instead.

This is dry country that gets very hot in summer, and fire restrictions are common. Use the Parks Victoria page for park campgrounds and the Explore Outdoors Victoria pages for forest camping areas. Billy Camp shows where each campsite is and what the official source records about it. It does not list fees or facilities unless the source does.
