Lockwood South State Forest

From Bendigo head South along the A300 (Midland Hwy), continue onto A79 (Calder Hwy).. Turn right down C277(Lockwood Rd). Continue through Roundabout onto Bendigo-Maryborough Rd. Turn left onto Boswell Rd and immediate Right onto Mohair Rd, Follow for 700m then turn left onto Brigg Rd. Follow for approx 5km to the site. This site is isolated quiet and overlooks the hills to the south of Bendigo towards Mount Alexander. The range of hills that the site sits on is the geological boundary between the igneous Granite hills to the south and sedimentary soils to the north. It is a great place for a day trip or stay for a few days with a toilet on site and lots of places to explore.
