Planning your trip

Each campsite on Billy Camp shows what its official source records: who manages it, what kind of land it is on and, where the source says so, whether it is free or bookable. Regions follow the Australian Bureau of Statistics Tourism Regions, so they line up with the names you will see in tourism guides, although they are not park boundaries.

Camping rules are set by whoever runs the campsite: a national parks agency, a forestry body, a council or a private operator. Before you go, check the manager's page for bookings, fees, fire restrictions and closures. Price and on-site facilities are often not recorded in official sources, so treat Billy Camp as a starting point rather than a guarantee.
