Planning your trip
The campsites listed here are run by ACT Parks and Conservation Service. They range from campgrounds near the Cotter River to quieter sites in the south of the territory, and some need to be booked ahead. Kowen Forest and Blue Range Recreation Area are forest areas rather than national park campgrounds, so their rules may differ.
This list covers the campsites Billy Camp has official records for, not every place you can camp in the territory. Check the ACT Parks website for bookings, access and current notices before you go. Fire restrictions and park closures are common in summer, and park notices always override what is shown here. Blue Range Creek Camping Area, in Victoria's High Country, is a different place.
