Planning your trip

Many campsites here are along the Goulburn River Heritage River and are run by Parks Victoria. A smaller number are state forest camping areas run by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action. Lower Goulburn River campsites are listed under Central Murray, so check both regions if you are planning a river trip.

River campsites can be affected by high water and muddy tracks after rain. Use the Parks Victoria page for park and reserve campsites, including any booking, and the Explore Outdoors Victoria pages for forest camping areas. A bend or reservoir in a name says nothing about water access, so check the official page before you go.
