Planning your trip

Every campsite listed here is run by the Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory. Some campgrounds need to be booked, and gorge canoe camps are reached by water and have their own arrangements, so read the campground page before you plan. Some campgrounds also have an overflow area listed separately.

The wet season, roughly November to April, can close roads, campgrounds and swimming areas, and saltwater crocodiles can be present in rivers and waterholes. Use the NT Parks website to check bookings, access and current alerts before you travel. Litchfield and Kakadu campgrounds, including Wangi Falls and Florence Falls, are listed under Litchfield Kakadu Arnhem.
