Planning your trip

All campsites listed here are run by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Each campground still has its own access and alert arrangements, and riverside campgrounds can close when the rivers are high. Short names such as Big Red campground or The Hill campground also appear elsewhere, so match the full name and region before you book.

The Riverina is a separate tourism region from The Murray and from Outback NSW, although all three share river country. Use the NSW National Parks site to confirm whether you need to book, whether the access road is open and whether a flood or fire alert is current. Billy Camp does not list fees or facilities unless the official source records them.
