Planning your trip

All campsites listed here are run by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Some are drive-in campgrounds, while others are reached on foot or by ferry, as at The Basin. Several Great North Walk camps are numbered, and similar camps exist in other regions, so match the full campground name before you book.

Popular Sydney campgrounds often need to be booked well ahead, especially on weekends. Use the NSW National Parks site to confirm bookings, access and current alerts. Billy Camp shows where each campground is and what the official source records. It does not list fees, pet rules or facilities unless that source does.
