Planning your trip

These campgrounds are run by Western Australia's Parks and Wildlife Service. Popular coastal campgrounds such as Lucky Bay can be booked through Explore Parks WA and fill up quickly in holidays. Other campgrounds, including Congelin, Seal Creek and Belinup, are spread across a very large area.

Distances are long, services are sparse and many roads are unsealed. Carry plenty of water and fuel, and check road conditions after rain. Use Explore Parks WA to check bookings, park fees and alerts before you go. The Kimberley's Mitchell Falls and Purnululu campgrounds are listed under Australia's North West.
