Planning your trip

These campsites are run by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service. A national parks pass is needed to visit Narawntapu and most other Tasmanian national parks. The Arthur-Pieman is remote country with many four-wheel-drive tracks, some of which need permits or close seasonally.

The west-facing coast takes the full force of the Roaring Forties, so expect wind and rain at any time of year. Each campsite appears more than once for different sections, so match the full name. Use the Tasmania Parks where-to-stay pages for passes, bookings and current alerts before you travel. Ben Lomond, Waterhouse and Walls of Jerusalem are listed under Launceston and the North.
